Ladies Day at Ripon Races

Breast Cancer Haven took a posse 16 volunteers to Ripon Races to collect donations and sell raffle tickets to the race-goers. The sun was blazing which defiantly pulled in the punters for what an exciting race card.
Our hard working volunteers worked the crowd superbly and managed to raise a wonderful £1,306.65 from the sale of raffle tickets. Well done!
Once the raffle had been drawn our volunteers covered all the exits to ensure anybody that had actually won some money had the opportunity to hand it over to us. I am thrilled to announce that the retiring collection raised a remarkable £468.26!
That brings the total amount raised on the day to an amazing £1,774.91!
Breast Cancer Haven would like to send a big thank you to Gillian Rhodes, Sue Storey, Lynn Daniel, Ena Murphy, Sarah Melody Ho, Sheila Field, Emily Bramley, Julie Robson, Anthony Longstaff, Hayley Storey, Katie Farr, Georgie Robson and Claire Pawson for all the hard work they put in throughout the day.
