We are excited to announce that we will be taking part in The Captain Tom Foundation’s Captain Tom 100!

This is a very special challenge event hosted by The Captain Tom Foundation and London Marathon events to honour the 1 year anniversary of the start of Captain Sir Tom’s inspirational fundraising challenge, which raised £38.9m for NHS charities.

Here at Breast Cancer Haven, we share the Captain Tom Foundation’s mission to inspire hope where it is needed most. We strive to shine a light during the dark times, help our visitors to feel themselves again, and make sure that nobody has to go through breast cancer alone.

But we need your help. Following the news that we will sadly be suspending our services at the end of June, we need to raise £100,000 in order to deliver our services to our current and new visitors. We are proud to have supported thousands of women and men over the past 20 years, and we want to make sure that we can continue to be there for everybody who needs us in the next couple of months.

Whether you have found comfort in one of our centres in the past, have seen a loved one benefit from our online support or are simply part of our amazing community of friends, we ask you to take the Captain Tom 100 challenge for us this weekend.

All you need to do is pick a challenge that involves the number 100 and set a target of £100 for Breast Cancer Haven. This could be doing 100 pancake flips, walking 100,000 steps, or doing 100 cartwheels - it is entirely up to you.

Remember to set up your JustGiving page and tell the world that you are fundraising for Breast Cancer Haven! Create yours now.

The challenge weekend starts from this Friday 30 April, on what would have been Captain Sir Tom’s 101st birthday, until Monday 3 May.

Together, you could help us raise the £100,000 we desperately need to continue to care for our visitors.
