About us Who we are Our people in Hereford Alison Palfrey – Fundraising Manager Alison joined Breast Cancer Haven Hereford in February 2017. Having worked in fundraising for most of her career Alison has held several senior fundraising roles, including being the Director of Fundraising at St Michael’s Hospice in Hereford and Hospiscare in Exeter. Alison has lived in the Hereford area for over 25 years and is delighted to be able to work heading up the fundraising team at Breast Cancer Haven, making a real difference to people in Herefordshire and the neighbouring counties. Rose Farrington – Corporate Fundraiser Rose is an experienced charity fundraiser with a background in marketing and communications management within the charity sector. Rose grew up in Herefordshire and is keen to share her passion for the work of Breast Cancer Haven with local communities and organisations to ensure that the amazing work can continue to benefit the local community. Debbie Hutchinson - Community Fundraiser Debbie started with us in December 2016 and has a long Banking history. She loves to dance and has used her passion for this by organising dozens of fund-raising Balls, Vintage Tea Parties and Themed Discos, attracting a loyal band of followers and supporters! She will continue to do this in her new role and has already organised several for later this year. Juliette Best – Nurse/TherapistJuliette has worked extensively in the community as a District Nurse caring for many people with breast cancer. She has always used a holistic approach in her nursing and therapy work. In 2007, Juliette gained a BSc (Hons) in Complementary Therapies specialising in holistic and clinical aromatherapy. Juliette has worked at Breast Cancer Haven since 2007 both as a nurse and a therapist; carrying out first consultations, support planning , answering clinical enquiries and carrying out visitor reviews. Juliette is also qualified in massage and indian head massage. Wendy Daykin – Front Desk ManagerWendy moved to Herefordshire in 2010, started volunteer fundraising for Breast Cancer Haven in 2012 and joined the Front Desk Team in 2013. She has a background in banking and finance and works on Front Desk on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and on Thursday she assists the clinical team with administration. Nicola Rowland – Front Desk AdministratorNicola comes to Breast Cancer Haven with a varied background of bookselling, conservation and PA/care work. She also has a degree in Textile Design.Her involvement with the Haven started as a volunteer and she is now delighted to be a part of the team. Nicola works Wednesday afternoons and all day Thursday and Friday.
