Marian Parfitt, Breast Cancer Haven Macmillan Manager.

Marian joined Breast Cancer Haven in June 2015 after 30 years nursing in the NHS. She has worked in a variety of environments including Intensive Care in the UK and Australia, managing surgical wards and specialist units. Marian has completed a variety of post graduate courses during her nursing career; the most recent was completion of her BSc in cancer care. Prior to joining Breast Cancer Haven in 2015 she worked as a Clinical Breast Care Nurse Specialist for 10 years in Hertfordshire before re-locating to manage her newly appointed team of staff, therapists and the centre in Titchfield, Hampshire. Marian is passionate about providing a specialised service to all people diagnosed with breast cancer.

Sally Hillyear, Fundraising Manager.

Sally graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Human Ecology and joined the charity sector straight from university. After 22 years in the sector she has worked for a number of local and national charities including Help the Aged, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Fire Fighters, Leukaemia Busters and Hampshire Autistic Society. Fundraising and making a difference was cemented in her career and having acquaintances with breast cancer she has been delighted to have been working for Breast Cancer Haven since July 2015 heading up the fundraising team in Wessex.

Heidi Rehman, Community Fundraiser.

Heidi joined the Capital Appeal to open Breast Cancer Haven, Wessex in July 2014. Heidi was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 35 and afterwards vowed to give something back and to help others in a similar situation. After several years of personal fundraising for breast cancer charities, 5 marathons, a patient advocate for Breakthrough Breast Cancer at Windsor Hospital and raising a lot of media awareness about the disease it was a wonderful opportunity to help so many by fundraising to open Breast Cancer Haven, Wessex. Heidi is passionate that the services Breast Cancer Haven provides will make a difference to people and their families affected by breast cancer.

Emma Bazeley, Trusts and Foundation Executive.

Emma joined Breast Cancer Haven in May 2016. She has been fundraising for 6 years since graduating from university. Emma’s interest in the charity sector came about when volunteering on the ward at her local hospice. She worked for a local children’s charity in trusts and community fundraising before taking some time out to travel the world. On her return, working for an international charity raising funds through companies and trusts. Emma then moved on to a small fundraising company working in trusts, corporate, events and community to raise funds for local causes.


Jessica Zubaidi - Community fundraiser

Jess has joined Breast Cancer Haven Wessex as part-time community fundraiser two days a week. She has worked in fundraising for more than ten years, for charities such as St. Michael’s Hospice (North Hampshire) and the British Red Cross.

Jess enjoys the variety and creativity of community fundraising, also meeting the wonderful individuals and groups who give their time to fundraise for causes close to their heart. She is looking forward to using her experience to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer Haven.

Jess has two young children and outside of work enjoys family time, particularly days out and holidays away, as well as volunteering as treasurer for her local pre-school.


Amanda Fawcett, Front Desk Manager.

Amanda joined Breast Cancer Haven in March 2016 and has a background in retail and administration management. The organisational and managerial skills that she brings are invaluable in running the busy front desk. Amanda has had family members affected by cancer and understand the difference a strong support network and complementary therapies can make, so was pleased to be given the opportunity to join the Breast Cancer Haven, Wessex. Amanda is married with two sons; any spare time is family time and usually involves football! They also enjoy weekends away in their 1976 VW Campervan.


Jackie Grey, Front Desk Administrator.

Jackie moved from Wales with her husband for the opening of Breast Cancer Haven in October 2015. She previously worked for 14 years at a secondary school in Cardiff as a school attendance officer. This role involved close interaction with both children and parents which required a happy disposition; this is one of the qualities she has brought to Breast Cancer Haven.



Judy Rann, Front Desk Administrator.

Judy joined Breast Cancer Haven when it opened in October 2015. She has 12 years experience as an administrator having previously been a receptionist in both a Private Dental Practice and a GP surgery, where she was known for her calm and caring nature. Prior to that she spent 18 years working for a bank. Judy enjoys foreign travel, in particular to the USA and loves cruises!



Hannah Galpin, Fundraising Assistant

Hannah joined the fundraising team in July 2017, having recently returned from two years travelling in Australia and Asia. Hannah has always dreamt of a career in the charity sector since she volunteered with a children’s charity during university.

Hannah graduated with a BA in Media in 2012, she then spent several years in customer facing environments, including hospitality and tourism, and has run her own dog walking business.

Hannah has seen the impact of Breast Cancer first hand amongst family members and is now very happy to be a part of helping those affected by the disease across the region.
