Our Soloist

Sophie Macrae is an established Scottish mezzo-soprano in the classical crossover world. Performing since the age of 16, Sophie is a regular soloist at many private and public events across the country. Her performances have entertained celebrities, members of the royal family and many other public figures. She has recently begun to support Breast Cancer Haven, alongside a number of other charities.

The Rodolfus Choir

With a sound hailed as ‘unspeakably beautiful‘ by Gramophone, the Rodolfus Choir has established itself firmly over a period of thirty years as one of the leading youth choirs in the United Kingdom; during which time they have developed a lasting reputation for their commitment to the highest level of musicality. Comprising some of the finest young singers in the country, its members are all alumni of the famous Eton Choral Courses.

Conducted by their founder, Ralph Allwood; the choir has an extensive array of recordings to its name, the most recent of which, Time and its passing, reached the top 10 of the 'Special Classical' Charts in 2015. The choir maintains a diverse performance schedule, appearing regularly in concert settings, as well as for film sound track recordings and in cathedral, collegiate and church settings. In recent times, the Choir has appeared at the Three Choirs Festival, at the Barbican Centre, and in such venues as Westminster Abbey, the Royal Festival Hall and Abbey Road Studios.

The Rodolfus Choir is part of the Rodolfus Foundation (launched September 2017).  The Foundation's ambition is to share the joy of choral music with as many young people as possible.  We educate and support young singers to experience the excitement of musical teamwork.
