Help us raise our profile and vital funds by placing collection tins in your local area.

Why the role is important:

Breast Cancer Haven exists to improve the quality of life for people affected by breast cancer by providing personalised emotional, practical and physical support, completely free of charge.  Specialist nurses and experts in nutrition, exercise and emotional support provide tailor-made programmes for each person who comes through our doors. In addition to the personal programme of therapies, there are a range of groups, classes, workshops and seminars available to attend which provide ongoing support and promote health & wellbeing. It costs approximately £1,500 to provide the Breast Cancer Haven programme for every person who comes through our doors. We don’t receive any government funding for running our services, so we are entirely dependent on fundraising and donations.


What we will ask you to do:

  • Approach local businesses to find new locations for Breast Cancer Haven collection tins
  • Empty the tins at regular intervals throughout the year and donate the funds to Breast Cancer Haven
  • Collect existing tins on our behalf and thank participating businesses
  • Keep an accurate log of collection tin locations and amounts raised


What the role holder will bring to the role:

  • Friendly and confident communication style
  • Good knowledge of local area and access to transportation
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Good organisational skills
  • Comfortable handling cash
  • Aged 18 or over

What commitment is required?

This flexible role can be carried out at times that suit you. We anticipate it will probably take around three hours per month to build up and maintain your collection tin network.
