Counselling can be helpful at any time following a breast cancer diagnosis. There is research evidence to show that counselling can help you cope better, reduce stress and improve your quality of life following a diagnosis of cancer. Counselling can help relieve depression, anxiety and other kinds of distress in people living with cancer. Counselling allows time for you to be heard and can help you express your thoughts and feelings and can help you find your own solutions to problems.

Family and friends

We also recognise that a breast cancer diagnosis can be incredibly distressing for the loved ones of the person affected. We also offer four hours' of free counselling to family members and close friends of people that have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
