About us Who we are Our people in London Nicola Cunningham - London Haven ManagerNicola qualified as a physiotherapists in 2000, and specialised in oncology and palliative care at St Bartholomew’s hospital. She worked as an allied health professional lead at the South East London Cancer network, before becoming a project and later programme manager for the London Cancer Alliance (LCA). Nicola was responsible for developing services improvement initiatives and support packages for living with and beyond cancer, including psychological support, lymphoedema and rehabilitation, as well as the Recovery Package and patient experience for the 14 NHS Trusts and their third sector partners in south and west London. Nicola holds a post graduate certificate in advancing physiotherapy (focusing on palliative rehabilitation and exercise in cancer) and a project management qualification. She represented allied health professionals on the LCA board. Nicola has lectured nationally and internationally on the role of physiotherapy in cancer and palliative care, and for local universities on the cancer and cancer strategy. She joined Breast Cancer Haven in March 2016 and is looking forward to working with the London team to ensure the Breast Cancer Haven, London meets the needs of all its Visitors. Lucy King – Front Desk ManagerLucy joined Breast Cancer Haven in January 2016, as front desk manager. She spent fourteen years working as a Practice Manager in a private dental practice in the City. She is excited to be working at Breast Cancer Haven, London. Lucy tries to keep fit in her spare time. Christine Murphy - Front Desk AdministratorChristine has worked in various front of house and administration roles within the charity sector for the last seven years (with a few travelling trips in between). Most recently at Wandsworth & Westminster Mind and an Irish health & wellbeing charity called Mind Yourself. Tina Glynn, Senior Cancer Nurse and Therapist Tina’s nursing career specialising in cancer and palliative care, has spanned 25 years, having latterly been the lead nurse for palliative care at St George’s Hospital, London prior to joining Breast Cancer Haven. She has been actively involved in integrating complementary therapies with NHS cancer care for 20 years having set up and managed a small volunteer based complementary therapy service for the oncology unit at St George’s. As well as her nursing qualifications Tina has an MSc in complementary therapies from the University of Westminster, she is also qualified in and practice’s aromatherapy, massage, reiki and Leduc manual lymphatic drainage (MLD). Tina joined Breast Cancer Haven in 2006, as Breast Cancer Haven Programme Manager and remained in this role until March 2016. Her current role is part-time and more clinically focused. Sonia Peart – Breast Cancer Haven Macmillan Information Support ManagerSonia has been providing information and support for people affected by cancer for over 20 years, working for a broad range of organisations in the cancer care environment, including Cancer Networks, Cancer Research UK and Macmillan Cancer Support. Tara Sherjan - London Fundraising Manager Tara joined Breast Cancer Haven in February 2017 and brings 17 years of fundraising experience across a broad range of disciplines including community, events, corporate and trust fundraising. Tara was motivated to apply for the position of London Fundraising Manager as she, like many, knows several people who have been affected by breast cancer and what a difference services at Breast Cancer Haven can make. Shell Quaille – Events Fundraiser Shell has an MSc in Sport and Exercise Psychology but has been working in Event Management since she graduated. Previous to Breast Cancer Haven she delivered sport competitions at BUCS (British Universities and Colleges Sport) She has joined the Breast Cancer Haven fundraising team and looks after Blush, Carols and The Quiz, as well as supporting the community fundraising team. In her spare time she wakeboards, skis and enjoys cheese and wine.
