10 years ago, I became involved in Breast Cancer Haven when the Leeds Haven was opened. I ran several Leeds 10K races to fundraise and enjoyed them so much that I got seriously into running again after a 25 year break. So much so that I recently qualified as a running Coach.

Whilst I’ve taken part in events from village show fell races and Park Run to the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Race, I’ve never run the London Marathon so I’m very excited to be taking part in my first London Marathon and to be doing it for Breast Cancer Haven.

My late mother in law, Jo used Breast Cancer Haven and the support she found there meant a lot to her. I’d like to help Breast Cancer Haven help other people in Jo’s position and your donations mean a lot to me in doing that.

After a few months off late last year with an injury I have been back in full training for the Marathon since 1 January and everything is going according to plan. In my dreams I’d like to run under 3 hours – realistically it will probably be slightly more than that but let’s see!!

I’ll update this page with news of my fundraising and training.

Thanks for reading and thank you very much for your help.
