Mandy Taylor I never imagined that my breast cancer would return for a second time in the summer of 2017, I suspect that it’s not the same as a second pregnancy when you hear people say that “I’ve been there and done that and it’s far less painful”, it really is quite frightening and totally rocked my world.
I’ve had surgeries, 15 radiotherapy sessions, a further “scare” just before Christmas (thankfully the biopsies resulted in a cyst/fat necrosis) medication etc etc and all thanks to The Breast Cancer Haven in Yorkshire I feel certain that my “Mojo” will soon be back to full throttle. Historically, I’ve always turned to physically challenging adventures ranging from skydiving to cycling hundreds of miles to show my support for charities however this is impossible for now, hence my decision to take to the catwalk on Sunday 18th March. I appreciate all the kindness shown to me over the years and appreciate that it’s a big ask however once again I kindly appeal to people to sponsor me and ultimately make a massive difference to this invaluable cause. Although I’m incredibly lucky compared to many other ladies, my self confidence and body image have taken a bit of a beating. No doubt I will be incredibly nervous on the day, however if I have successfully raised a significant sum, this (along with a stiff drink behind the scenes) will hopefully be the motivation I need to face my fears and take to the charity catwalk with some truly remarkable ladies. Please can you kindly donate a pound or two? Thank you x Mandy Taylor
