How your gift will help
A gift in your Will means that future generations of women will get the vital caring support they need to get through the tough times of breast cancer.
Thanks to better treatment 76% of women are surviving breast cancer now but the number of diagnoses is also increasing rapidly. That means that more and more women need support to get through the grueling and frightening experience of having breast cancer.
Surgery, hair loss, radiation, chemotherapy and medication can all take its toll both physically and emotionally. Medical treatment is necessary and lifesaving but people need so much more than this. That’s where a gift in your Will could make all the difference.
Your gift could help pay for women in the future to get support, find help with money worries, or discover therapies to alleviate side-effects.
Over the past 20 years we have been supporting people affected by breast cancer. It is why we exist. Throughout this time we have learned a lot, developed our support model, adapted and changed. In the past we were restricted in our service delivery, supporting people predominantly via our centres. But due to the impact of the pandemic our services are now delivered online and our reach extends to provide support to people irrespective of geographic location.
We need to make sure that we can continue to support people and so must reach even more women in the coming years.
This is why legacies are so important. They will help underpin our important plans to reach even more people across the UK. By leaving a gift to Breast Cancer Haven you really will be making a life-changing difference. You will help make sure our much-needed support can reach the next generation facing breast cancer too.

Free Will services and Lasting Power of Attorney
Nobody really likes to talk about dying or thinking about their own death. But making a Will is one of the most important decisions that you can make for your family. Even if you don’t feel that you have much to leave behind.
Similarly important is to consider appointing a Lasting Power of Attorney. It is important that every adult should have a Lasting Power of Attorney as more and more people need a Lasting Power of Attorney these days.
What is a Lasting Power of Attorney?
It is a legal document which appoints someone you trust to act for you if you become unable to make decisions or manage your affairs – both financial & property and health & welfare.
Without a Lasting Power of Attorney your family might need to go to Court – this can cause a lot of delay, hassle and expense.
Breast Cancer Haven encourages everyone to make a Will and appoint a Lasting Power of Attorney. We also regularly partner with solicitor firms who provide free Will writing services and can also write Lasting Power of Attorney documents. Please check this page again in the future for our updated partnerships and free Will writing opportunities.
