Breast Cancer Haven Update - February 2021 Breast Cancer Haven announces with great regret the departure from the charity of our CEO Sally Hall. This follows a decision taken by the Board to make the CEO role redundant. Since the beginning of the pandemic BCH has been unable to provide face to face services for its visitors and sadly we have had to close all of our centres. This has meant an inevitable reduction in our workforce and we have lost some great colleagues and friends. Our remaining clinical and support staff are providing online services led by our Director of Clinical & Research, Caroline Hoffman. The difficult decision has been taken to make the CEO role redundant from the beginning of February. Sally commented "all concerned are determined to keep the charity going in these difficult times. BCH cannot justify a full time CEO at this point and, although I am devastated to be leaving, I wish all the very best to those who continue to provide vital services to people affected by breast cancer and those who will keep this unique charity going." Dudley Sinnett, Chairman of the BCH Board of Trustees has conveyed his thanks to Sally on behalf of the Board and said "We would like to thank Sally for all her good work. We are confident she will go on to exciting new challenges and wish her well for the future. Meanwhile Caroline Hoffman and Mark Guilford will work together to ensure the on-going running of the charity, alongside their current responsibilities. Breast Cancer Haven will continue to focus on providing a growing online service across the country, until such time as we are able to resume touch therapies, acupuncture and other face to face treatments."
