Philanthropy & Charitable Trusts

All of the support we offer is funded by donations. Whether you’re a trust, foundation or an individual, we can help you decide how you can best support our work. With your help more people affected by a breast cancer diagnosis can get the help they desperately need.

Here are just some of the trusts and foundations which have historically supported us:

WALK THE WALK

Since 2009, Walk the Walk, the charity responsible for the iconic MoonWalk night marathon, has awarded us an incredible £4.2m in grants to help us deliver our services in London. They also supported our capital appeal to open a centre in Wessex and secondary breast cancer support groups at all our centres.

THE LINBURY TRUST

The Linbury Trust awarded us £25,000 per year over a three-year period, helping us with the cost of our front desk staff teams. These teams were vital for the day-to-day running of our support centres.  The staff members were so often the first point of contact for our visitors, providing information about our services, reaching out to people who were at their most vulnerable, making bookings and appointments.

THE EVESON CHARITABLE TRUST

The Eveson Charitable Trust has been a long and loyal supporter of Breast Cancer Haven in Hereford. Since 2004, when the centre first opened its doors, the Trust has awarded £512,000 in grants towards our service delivery. They also supported our work in Worcester and the West Midlands.

MACMILLAN

From 2012 to 2018, Macmillan generously supported several of our clinical roles. These included our Welfare, Benefits and Money Adviser role which made a huge difference to the lives of many vulnerable patients and their families. Since the service began in May 2012, the advisor helped 853 cancer patients and secured close to £450k for them. In 2018 alone, she worked with 154 patients and secured over £52k.

ST JAMES’S PLACE FOUNDATION

Between 2015 and 2017 the St James’s Place Foundation supported the Breast Cancer Haven, Yorkshire Centre Manager post with a £25,000 annual grant. This provided our visitors with essential support at key times and ensured that they could make the very most of the specialist and holistic support that we offered.
