Statistics and facts

Breast cancer is the name for cancers that start in the breast and is the most common cancer in the UK.

Over 55,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year in the UK and around 370 men.

One in seven women in the UK will develop breast cancer at some point in their lifetime.

    During my treatment there was so much support from medical professionals and my friends and family. My life had revolved around my treatment and I just had to get on with it. But then afterwards it hit me, what do I do now?

  • Our Volunteer Board

    Breast Cancer Haven is a registered UK charity governed by an unpaid Volunteer Board. The Board’s role is to set the Charity’s strategic direction, monitor the delivery of the Charity’s objects, uphold governance and guide, advise and support the Chief Executive, who leads the Management Team towards achieving the Charity’s mission and purpose. The Volunteer Board is led by the Chairman, Professor Dudley Sinnett.
