Surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, hormone therapy and biological therapies are all treatments provided by your hospital team to help with the treatment of breast cancer

At Breast Cancer Haven we provide support for you whilst you are undergoing these treatments and afterwards. This can help reduce the side effects of some of these treatments and help you feel better overall.

This support is provided by an experienced team of health care professionals and therapists, many of whom have worked in this field for a very long time.

There are three key aspects to this support:

Emotional Support

Emotional support to help you and people close to you to work through the sometimes intense and complex array of difficult thoughts and emotions that you may experience as a result of being affected by breast cancer. Common emotional reactions are fear, anger, anxiety, low mood and feelings of uncertainty.

The emotional support we provide includes counselling, hypnotherapy, mindfulness and self-compassion, emotional freedom technique and support groups.

Physical support

Physical support to help with the side effects of medical treatment may commonly include fatigue, hot flushes and other menopausal symptoms, pain, sleep problems, issues with body image and intimacy.
Some of our therapies that our visitors find helpful to support them with the side effects of treatment which include acupuncture, aromatherapy massage, nutritional therapy, scar tissue massage, reflexology, shiatsu and western herbal medicine.

Healthy living and lifestyle support
